Stranger Than Fiction (which I realize is more about the protagonist then the writer but I do love this movie)

Definitely, ‘Stranger than Fiction’. Probably the best thing Will Ferrell has ever done. Also starring Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah … worth watching.

The scene in Stragner than Fiction when she sees the fruit roll into the street and “Wham” she has her story.

But also add to the list “Wonder Boys” with M. Douglas and R Downey Jr.
