To be serious for a moment… Rejection that is honest and has merit is acceptable to me. Someone saying “your writing sucks” is of no value… or someone who is wrong in their criticism… but valid and honest rejection can be admired, strangely.
I agree! An agent who rejected my novel sent me her editor’s notes. 3 pages! And you know what? The editor’s comments were on point! I appreciated the notes.

That’s great! Not the rejection itself of course… but that you got someone who cared enough to offer suggestions for improvement. That has to be rare.
